Ubisoft Server Issues – Players Unable to Play Them On PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC
Usually the weekend is the best time to play some amazing games, and if you were looking to go online and play Rainbow Six: Siege or Ghost Recon: Wildlands on January 6, you have definitely got disappointed. Both games and other Ubisoft games had connection issues not only one platform, but on more: PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
Ubisoft Server Issues
Ubisoft has informed their followers on Twitter about the issue and that they are aware of it, working on solving it. Here is a part of their statement: ‘We are aware of server issues impacting multiple games. Our technical team is investigating and working on resolving this as quickly as possible.’
The server issues involved disconnections and long queue waits for multiplayer modes. Other online services, such as forums or websites are also having issues.
Seven Games Affected
Besides the two games we mentioned at the beginning, there are others that have been affected: The Crew, Steep, Watch Dogs 2, Trials Fusion, AirMech Arena. This list was provided by Ubisoft on their support page.
The same thing also happened on January 4 to other Ubisoft titles, which also affected Rainbow Six: Siege, on Xbox One.
Ubisoft hasn’t said what caused these issues, but apart from the seven titles affected on 6 January, Fortnite and Fortnite Battle Royale also have had some service issues that started after the updates which addressed Intel’s Meltdown vulnerabilities.
It’s All Back to Normal
On their forum post for this issue, Ubisoft has updated the status at 8:30 PM EDT, informing players that the team is working to save the issues. Later, at 1:13 AM EDT, some services were said to be functional and the latest update was at 3:30 AM EDT, informing players that all the issues have been resolved and the services should be back to normal.
